FIRST DAY AT NEW SCHOOL

It was the first day of the session
I was way much excited, not to mention
The school was new, all alien to me
There were only new faces, wherever I could see
The teachers I heard were strict and rude
The slightest thought of which spoiled my mood
I had to roam about searching for my class
For it was clearly not an easy task
The assembly went on for quiet sometime
For we were all standing in the line
The principal welcomed us very warmly
And told we were now a part of the Pillars Family
We were later called on stage to speak
To introduce ourselves to our school family
I was quiet nervous at once
For there were too many people in the audience
I spoke for few minutes to the crowd
After my speech, they were cheering, all happy and loud
I felt much confident after i spoke
And my nervousness, completely broke
I still knew absolutely nobody there
which was the fact that actually scared
I then reached out for the Senior Secondary Section
I was late, but the teacher allowed me with no objection
I walked through the entire class
Then finally found a vacant bench at last
The girl told me it was unoccupied
And I could sit there if I liked
We passed smiles and looked at the teacher
Who asked us to describe ourselves with each a distinguishing feature
We stood, we spoke, we laughed, we smiled
For the classmates were friendly, positive and kind
The girl beside me was new here too
By the recess I made many friends new
The day ended very positively
The way I never expected it to be.
THANKS FOR READING.
HAVE A HAPPY DAY AHEAD :)
